Welcome to the 2009 Bal du 14 Juillet
Bastille Day commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison on 14 July 1789, marking the beginning of the French Revolution and symbolizing the new Republic’s three ideals: Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.
Two hundred and eighteen years later the 14 July is still celebrated all over the world and not to be outdone, French associations, Francophiles and Friends of France get together in Brisbane to celebrate the occasion.
This will take the form of a pre-dinner drink, four course meal, music, dancing, entertainment and prizes.
